About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the game design vision, player experience, and core gameplay mechanics for casual and hybrid casual mobile games.
  • Design and optimize core loops, meta systems, progression, economy, retention, and monetization mechanics.
  • Lead the game design team, providing mentorship, guidance, and feedback.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive game design documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Art, Engineering, Analytics, and User Acquisition teams.
  • Analyze player behavior, KPIs, and market trends to drive game improvements.
  • Conduct playtesting, balancing, and iteration cycles to maximize player engagement and retention.
  • Develop innovative gameplay concepts and features based on player insights and market opportunities.
  • Support live operations and content strategies to ensure long-term game growth.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in game design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience designing and launching successful mobile casual or hybrid casual games.
  • Strong understanding of player psychology, game loops, progression systems, game economy, and monetization.
  • Experience using game analytics and performance metrics to inform design decisions.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance creativity with business objectives and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience working in Agile and fast-paced development environments.
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience with live operations and event systems.
  • Familiarity with user acquisition metrics and growth strategies.
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate game design workflows.
  • Experience working on games with global audiences and large-scale player bases.
