About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work in close partnership with the Controller to strengthen the month-end processes
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to support timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, proactively identify discrepancies, and ensure integrity of financial reporting
- Support regulatory reporting requirements including surveys, franchise taxes, and annual reports, ensuring compliance with applicable deadlines
- Serve as a point of contact for employee and vendor inquiries, partnering with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects to inform business decisions and improve operational efficiency
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and corporate card transactions in accordance with company policy and accounting standards
- Maintain and update vendor records, accounts payable inbox, and the Company Finance calendar, ensuring timely tracking of key reporting and compliance deadlines
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with payroll processing and accounts payable workflows
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet recurring deadlines
- CPA candidate or bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
