About the role
- Become an expert on the process of Anrok’s registrations and license renewals process and engage with state and local jurisdictions as needed
- Complete sales tax registrations and licensing on behalf of our customers–this requires great attention to detail and communication and follow-ups with customers
- Analyze current processes around sales tax registrations to identify areas for streamlining and/or automation and partner with Tax, Engineering, and Product to implement these improvements
- Support performance analysis and roadmap for ad hoc projects related to sales tax
- Triage and respond to customer inquiries in regards to registrations, licensing, and tax returns
Requirements
- You have a strong background with 2+ years of experience in Operations.
- Experience with government and regulatory compliance is a bonus–in addition to tax registration, this could include payroll tax management, licensing, audits, and grants management.
- You excel at taking ownership of complex projects and driving them to completion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must as the team is both in-person and remote
- You enjoy engaging with customers and stakeholders and take a proactive position when solving challenging problems
- You use data to make informed decisions and present findings to your broader team
- Nice to have: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
