About the role

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining infrastructure automation using Terraform and Terragrunt under guidance of senior engineers
  • Collaborate with the team to build and enhance CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness)
  • Support deploying and managing scalable cloud infrastructure focusing on automation, cost optimization, and reliability
  • Participate in managing Kubernetes clusters and ensuring secure, efficient workloads
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate DevOps practices and document standards
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions; support incident resolution and root cause analysis
  • Stay curious about new DevOps tools and contribute ideas to improve workflows and processes
  • Understand and help implement basic security practices within the DevOps workflow (access control, key management)

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
  • Relevant coursework, internships, or technical knowledge required
  • Any experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role preferred
  • Basic understanding of Terraform or similar IaC tools
  • Foundational knowledge of Kubernetes concepts (pods, deployments, services, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Docker/container management desirable
  • Exposure to CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness)
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with Git-based version control (e.g., GitHub, GitLab)
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash or Python
  • Eager to Learn: passion for developing new skills in a fast-paced DevOps environment
  • Problem Solving: ability to approach technical challenges with curiosity and determination
  • Collaboration: comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders
  • Adaptability: open to feedback and capable of adapting to evolving technologies and priorities
  • This position is onsite at our Redwood City, CA HQ; team works Mon/Tue/Wed onsite and Thu/Fri remote
  • Preferred: Exposure to or willingness to learn Terragrunt
  • Preferred: Awareness of observability/monitoring tools like New Relic
  • Preferred: Interest in security practices in DevOps (securing secrets, enforcing policies)
  • Preferred: Basic understanding of networking concepts in cloud environments
