Backend Engineer

• Own key architectural decisions inside one or several domains, ensuring alignment with Ankorstore’s tech vision.
• Translate the long-term architecture strategy into practical designs that squads can execute.
• Drive the adoption of modular, API-first, event-driven, and data-centric design patterns.
• Participate in design reviews and challenge proposals with constructive, high-level technical judgment.
• Contribute hands-on to complex technical components, refactors, and mission-critical projects.
• Debug and resolve systemic issues across services, infrastructure, and data flows.
• Champion performance, scalability, and reliability across squads.
• Coach Senior Engineers and elevate their architectural thinking.
• Promote best engineering practices, raising the bar on code quality, testing, observability, and documentation.
• Partner with Product, Data, and Platform leaders to build coherent solutions.
• Ensure technical solutions directly support our brand-first OS strategy and services expansion.
• Explore technologies (AI integration, event-driven workflows, platformization trends) and push prototypes that create leverage.
• Identify long-term opportunities to improve foundations and reduce complexity.

Customer Support

• Provide outstanding support to our community of retailers and brands across Europe as the voice of Ankorstore
• Supporting brands and retailers with their questions and queries via email, phone, and live chat
• Assisting customers with order issues, such as damaged/missing items, refunds, etc
• Handling frustrated or emotional customers with empathy and kindness
• Timely and efficient problem-solving, with clear and concise communications
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support customer issues, such as the Logistics and Payments departments, shipping carriers
• Utilising our tools to resolve customer queries: Salesforce, Aircall, Mayday, DUST AI, Slack
• Escalating complex topics to Senior Advisors and/or Team Leaders
• Participating in training and update meetings to stay informed of product and process changes
