About the role
- The Sales Lead role at Craft West will be the ultimate brand ambassador for Elysian, Golden Road and Four Peaks brands
- Their primary responsibility is partnering with our wholesaler network and driving volume, revenue, share, display and POS execution goals
- This position involves a considerable amount of time in market visiting wholesalers, planning 90-180 days out, visiting key retailers, ride withs, events and consumer activations
- The position works very closely with Anheuser Busch wholesaler partners and local commercial team.
- Responsible for all Elysian, Golden Road and Four Peaks performance in their wholesaler territory
- Builds partnership with wholesaler management, EAM, Sales Manager, Channel Leads, Team Leads, Sales Reps, SEC to drive key priorities for Craft West Brands
- Leads monthly and annual business planning meetings with wholesaler to align on revenue, volume, distribution, and investment goals
- Weekly participation with wholesaler on forecasting and LOW orders to make sure wholesaler has sufficient inventory to hit goals
- Plans with wholesalers to order POCM during buying windows (6 times per year)
- Inspires wholesalers to close out all chain commitments (Items Not Brought In)
- Participates in the execution through ride withs, events such as samplings, beer dinners, and craft beer educational presentations for wholesalers, customers and consumers
- Coaches wholesaler sale teams through market blitzes, team selling, brand education, trade solutions, training, ride-withs, samplings and whatever it takes to get the job done!
- Uses Power BI, Circana and BIR to identify sales opportunities on route or in key zips.
- Adheres to federal and state alcoholic beverage laws.
Requirements
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or similar field
- 3+ years of sales or marketing experience in beverage/alcohol industry preferred
- Certified Beer Server or Certified Cicerone preferred
- Familiar with VIP iDig, IRI, BIR, Power BI, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Excel
- Conducts work in a standing and sitting position; however, job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and light lifting
- Job requires the ability to be in physical retail locations, late night activations and travel
- Profound knowledge of craft beer and brewing process
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to adjust a message to the audience
- Highly creative and able to generate fresh, impactful ideas and see them through to implementation
- Proven ability to think and move between strategic and analytical thinking as well as actual execution
- Ability to coordinate brand information, supply POS material, and keep lines of communication open with state’s wholesaler network to better sell through products.
