About the role
- Own legal counsel across the full product lifecycle — from early design through launch, scale, and iteration.
- Advise on securities law, privacy frameworks, and compliance regimes (Securities Act of 1933, Exchange Act of 1934, ICA, IAA, GDPR, CCPA), including for Meridian and new infrastructure.
- Draft and evolve core legal documents for fund products and investor-facing tools.
- Build scalable legal processes that preserve product velocity without compromising compliance.
- Work cross-functionally with compliance, BD, engineering, and marketing to align legal and business strategy.
- Educate internal teams on the legal implications of product decisions and regulatory developments.
Requirements
- JD from a top-tier law school; active bar membership in good standing.
- 6–10 years of legal experience with meaningful exposure to fintech, venture capital, or SaaS platforms.
- Deep product counseling experience and working fluency in securities law, privacy, and data regulation.
- A track record of owning complex initiatives end-to-end — not waiting to be directed.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity in a fast-moving environment where mistakes aren't an option.
