About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support project teams in the economic assessment of construction projects
Jointly develop the claims management process together with senior management
Prepare and process contract change requests and claims
Evaluate contractual deviations and prepare claims submissions
Analyze bills of quantities (BOQ), contracts and tender documentation
Identify and assess economic claim potentials during project execution
Prepare disruption notices (notices of hindrance) and other contract-related correspondence
Provide economic assessment of claims and support price determination
Coordinate with project managers, site managers and clients
Support claims negotiations and, prospectively, conduct negotiations independently
Actively contribute to and optimize the company’s claims processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed degree in construction-related field, e.g., Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering with focus on construction; alternatively further training as a construction technician or comparable technical qualification
Technical understanding of construction workflows and interest in commercial/financial aspects
Knowledge of VOB/B and an understanding of contractual relationships
Proficient user of MS Office
Fluent German for effective internal and external communication
Nice to have: Initial professional experience in building construction
Nice to have: Experience in estimating, site management, construction accounting or claims management
Nice to have: Experience working with bills of quantities (Leistungsverzeichnisse)
Nice to have: Strong negotiation skills when dealing with clients
