About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop the electrical systems behind an innovative ClimateTech product and help prepare it for international serial production.
- Hardware development: Design and develop electrical hardware for the next generation of the Road Power Plant.
- Circuit design: Create electrical schematics, select components, and design high-quality PCB layouts.
- Testing & validation: Conduct simulations, laboratory tests, debugging, and system validation.
- Prototype development: Build prototypes and support the transition to serial production.
- System integration: Integrate sensors, actuators, and control units into the product's overall architecture.
- Interdisciplinary engineering: Work closely with mechanical, hydraulic, software, and physics teams to solve interdisciplinary engineering challenges.
- Field testing: Support real-world testing and continuously improve hardware performance under practical operating conditions.
- Continuous improvement: Optimize existing electrical systems with a strong focus on reliability, manufacturability, and scalability.
- Innovation: Contribute to future generations of controllers and electrical architectures for international deployment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Practical experience in developing electrical hardware, electronic products, or comparable engineering roles.
- Experience developing electrical systems from concept through production readiness.
- Strong knowledge of PCB design, circuit development, component selection, and system integration.
- Experience with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English. German is a plus.
- Ideally, you also have experience with power electronics, embedded systems, renewable energy technologies, or industrial product development.
