About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement effective and efficient supply chain strategies for complex capital projects and divisional portfolios
  • Ensure material availability and on-time delivery across all project phases
  • Manage supplier relationships and risk throughout the supply chain
  • Collaborate closely and pro-active with project management, engineering, and global SCM structures
  • Drive strategic sourcing, bundling initiatives, and continuous improvement
  • Implement ESG requirements and ensure compliance within the supply chain
  • Oversee contract negotiations and claim management in coordination with Legal and project teams
  • Drive digitalization and automation across supply chain processes to improve transparency, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making
  • Promote harmonization of supply chain processes across divisions and projects to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Implement international best practices in strategic sourcing, supplier risk management, and KPI-driven performance monitoring
  • Benchmark supply chain performance against global standards to identify improvement opportunities and ensure operational excellence
  • Support the development of resilient and agile supply networks capable of responding to global disruptions and market dynamics
  • Act as interface between the procurement department and the division

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in business, engineering, or equivalent
  • Strong project experience in plant engineering (Anlagenbau) and complex capital projects
  • Six Sigma Green-/Blackbelt beneficial
  • Several years of experience in supply chain management, ideally in an international industrial environment
  • Expertise in demand planning, procurement, logistics, and supplier management
  • Strategic thinking and ability to align supply chain with business objectives
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent English skills; German and additional languages are an advantage
  • Proficiency in SAP and common SCM tools
  • Willingness to travel (40%)
