About the role
- Provide field service support for ANDRITZ WLP equipment, including lime kiln diagnostics, alignments, maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting.
- Develop expertise in diagnostic tools and software used for kiln analysis.
- Present and promote ANDRITZ WLP products and services, with a focus on lime kilns and auxiliary equipment.
- Collaborate with customers to identify, justify, and develop upgrade and service projects.
- Collaborate with Service Account Managers to enhance customer relationships.
- Build strong working relationships with global product teams in Finland.
- Occasionally manage labor crews during turnkey shutdowns or provide advisory field service.
- Identify emerging market needs and support development of new products and services.
- Lead all technical and commercial aspects of assigned projects.
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets with both local and remote team members.
- Ensure project execution aligns with established procedures.
- Coordinate with engineering to complete required designs.
- Oversee delivery milestones and ensure timely production of project deliverables.
- Negotiate commercial and technical terms with subcontractors in collaboration with purchasing.
- Track subcontractor performance for schedule and quality compliance.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers at all levels.
- Analyze and address project quality issues and customer concerns promptly.
- Prepare and issue monthly project status reports.
- Resolve project challenges while preserving positive customer relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent), or 5+ years of relevant experience in sales, equipment design, project execution, product management, maintenance, or pulp and paper mill operations.
- Experience with lime kilns or recausticizing systems is a plus.
- Design/drafting experience (e.g., AutoCAD) is a plus.
- Strong project management skills (schedule, budget, quality, customer satisfaction).
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong initiative, self‑management, and goal‑orientation, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to identify market needs and support the development of products and services that address those needs.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and drive urgency when required.
- Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams; AutoCAD familiarity is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel (25–50% within the U.S. and Canada).
