About the role
- Responsible for the related costs, delivery schedule, quality and targets of the System
- Participation in the creation of the overall time schedule and work breakdown structure
- Creation of the Purchase Order Requisition and participation in negotiations with suppliers
- Responsible for the general scope determination and for managing and following up the supply of the process from conceptualizing the design to delivery of the components to site
- Responsible for validating and approving the supplier production schedules
- Responsible for the technical clarifications with customer and supplier
- Responsible for organizing design review meetings and the manufacturing kick-off
- Elaborate, collect and assess the documentation required and veto technical dispositions in case of deviations
- Assemble and submittal of technical deliverables
- Organizes and facilitates meetings regarding technical activities
- Ensures stakeholders interpret the technical specification and expectations correctly
- Consolidates the opinions of others to define the technical strategy and the supply plan in collaboration with the Project Manager and the Procurement Department
- Participates in the selection, negotiations and technical discussions of the main suppliers and sub-contractors
- Responsible for making sure engineering deliverables and supply deliveries are made on-time
- Follows-up on Non-Conformances and Change Management with the customer, vendors and engineering
- Analyzes, defines and implements a contingency plan to correct any issues or deviations that can have an impact on their projects
Requirements
- Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
- Experience in the fields of hydroelectricity, energy producing equipment or related design and manufacturing activities
- Experience in technical coordination of engineering activities and subcontracting
- Good verbal and written communication
