About the role
- Operational management of the CTM department (Mechanical Design)
- Ensuring resource requirements for development and customer orders
- Coordination of external partners as needed
- Establishing and maintaining an organization and infrastructure optimally aligned with the requirements of development projects and customer orders
- Participation in product planning
- Preparation of feasibility studies
- Analysis of competitor products
- Ensuring technology leadership: monitoring new technological developments in mechanical engineering and drive technology
- Conceptualization, development, documentation (manufacturing documentation) and support of mechanical design for all products according to the latest state of the art
- Developing and enforcing design guidelines
- Organizing and producing documentation of all key information to ensure traceability of important decisions
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a technical department
- Completed tertiary education, e.g., B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (University of Applied Sciences)
- Solid knowledge in mechanical engineering and drive technology
- Experience in the development and design of mechanical components
- Strong organizational skills and assertiveness
- Quality awareness and experience with quality assurance (QA) processes
- Exemplary and engaging demeanor with strong verbal communication skills
- Business-fluent German and English skills
