About the role
- Electrical engineering for protection/control/automation systems;
- Development of the engineering plan in collaboration with the Project Manager;
- Execution of project engineering with support from the technical team (technicians, CPI, engineers);
- Coordination and progress monitoring with the technical team and the Project Manager;
- Review and sealing (stamping) of drawings and technical documents produced under your supervision;
- Participation in design review meetings with the client;
- Oversight of documents required for control cabinet fabrication;
- Preparation and documentation of system testing and validation procedures;
- Participation in and supervision of factory acceptance tests (FAT) with the client;
- Monitoring progress and providing support to the electrical commissioning team;
- Participation in and supervision of final site testing during commissioning and return to service;
- Mentoring junior engineers on other projects;
- Participation in tendering/bid processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Automation (member of the OIQ);
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical design of protection/control/automation systems;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English;
- Leadership and mentoring qualities while working collaboratively in a team;
- Experience in hydroelectric power generation is an asset;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical problems;
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical; Autodesk Vault is an asset;
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Available for site commissioning as required.
