About the role

  • Electrical engineering of protection/control/automation systems.
  • Developing the engineering plan in collaboration with the project manager.
  • Carrying out project engineering with the support of the technical team (technicians, CPI, engineers).
  • Coordinating and monitoring progress with the technical team and the project manager.
  • Reviewing and sealing drawings and technical documents produced under your supervision.
  • Participating in design review meetings with the client.
  • Overseeing documentation required for the fabrication of control cabinets.
  • Preparing and documenting test and system validation procedures.
  • Participating in and supervising factory tests (FAT) with the client.
  • Monitoring progress and providing support to the electrical commissioning team.
  • Participating in and supervising final on-site testing during recommissioning.
  • Mentoring junior engineers on other projects.
  • Participating in tender/bid processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Automation (licensed member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec – OIQ).
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical design of protection/control/automation systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring qualities while working collaboratively in a team.
  • Experience in hydroelectric power production is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve technical problems.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Autodesk Vault is an asset.
  • Practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Available for on-site commissioning as required.
