About the role
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues in machinery, using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, such as bearings, seals, gaskets, gears, and belts.
- Assist in the installation, assembly, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Ensure proper alignment, calibration, and testing of mechanical systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Interact with customers or end-users to understand mechanical issues and provide technical support.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems.
Requirements
- Mechanical educated or good mechanical skills
- Technical skills (electrical, process and computer knowledge)
- Good black smith skills
- Working experience in animal, pet food, aqua feed and/or biofuel producers is a plus
- Good technical experience about machinery e.g. gearboxes, transport systems etc. and knowledge in handling bearings, sealings and lubricants
- Driver’s license
- Able to travel weekly, flexible is a key word
- Fluent in Dutch and Good in English
- Familiar with Microsoft Office tool´s etc.
