About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Event & Retail Manager in driving non-media lead generation and local awareness through events, shows, showrooms, corporate partnerships, retail partnerships, community groups, HOAs, and company-created events
- Provide in-field coaching, training, and booth support
- Recruit and interview staff
- Deliver classroom training on staff methodology, rebuttals, processes, and procedures
- Manage the department calendar
- Negotiate with event sponsors and outside vendors to procure space and maximize investment value
- Oversee events, sponsorships, retail partnerships, and lead-generation opportunities
- Handle on-site administration, resource supervision, and implementation details
- Collaborate with Renewal partners to drive results
- Communicate results and strategy to management
- Provide guidance, training, and work direction to Retail Marketing Representatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications preferred, or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities
- Some experience in sales/marketing, event planning, and/or managing sales or retail teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strategic thinking ability
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to travel throughout the Maryland and Virginia service area
- Willingness and ability to work a minimum of 40 partial or full weekends per year
