About the role

  • Cost effectively drive non-media lead generation and local awareness through events/shows, showrooms, corporate partnerships, retail partnerships, community groups, HOA's, company-created events and more.
  • In-field coaching and training of Retail Marketing Representatives.
  • Manages department calendar, negotiating with event sponsors and vendors.
  • Oversees participation in events, sponsorship, retail partnerships and creation of lead-gen opportunities.
  • Expense and P&L management of Events and Showroom expenses; controlling spend within budget.
  • Collaborate with partners within Renewal to drive results.
  • Participate in recruiting efforts, including interviewing candidates.
  • Communicate results and future strategy with management.
  • Classroom training, which involves teaching staff methodology, rebuttals, process and procedures.
  • Directly manages Marketing Reps, Associate Managers, and Contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications preferred or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities
  • Requires 3 to 5 years of experience in sales/marketing, planning events and/or managing sales/retail teams
  • Ability to think strategically, with strong project management skills, including attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to self manage resources (time and budget) to achieve objectives
  • Ability to analyze effectiveness of events, sponsorships & local programs
  • Ability to understand the role of marketing communications, sales promotion and advertising
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated analytic skills
  • Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel and Access.
