About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take technical ownership of the AWS cloud infrastructure, deployment platforms and operational tooling supporting the Accounts platform
- Design, build and continuously improve scalable, resilient and secure cloud architectures
- Lead development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for reliable, automated software delivery
- Establish and champion Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform
- Define and improve monitoring, observability, alerting and operational controls
- Drive cloud security, networking, access control and infrastructure governance best practices
- Lead technical responses to production incidents, including diagnosis, remediation and preventative action
- Improve platform reliability, performance, scalability and operational efficiency
- Develop standards, patterns and reusable tooling for engineering teams
- Mentor DevOps, platform and engineering team members
- Contribute to technical strategy and platform roadmap decisions
- Champion automation and continuous improvement to reduce manual overhead and improve developer experience
- Collaborate with software engineering, security and platform teams to operate the Accounts platform securely and efficiently at scale
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experienced Lead DevOps Engineer
- Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
- Terraform and Infrastructure as Code at scale
- Designing and operating robust CI/CD platforms and deployment pipelines
- Monitoring, observability and alerting, including operational metrics and controls
- Cloud security, identity and access management, networking and infrastructure governance
- Platform engineering and production operations, including incident management and service reliability
- Automation and scripting using Python, Bash or similar technologies
- Designing highly available, resilient and scalable production environments
- Applying DevOps and SRE principles to improve reliability and operational maturity
