About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build, deliver, and evolve an enterprise-scale Azure platform for a high-profile AI & Data programme
Design, implement, and configure greenfield enterprise-grade Azure landing zones aligned with Cloud Adoption Framework and enterprise best practice
Lead discovery, technical design, and iterative development of the Azure platform
Build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
Integrate Azure landing zones with on-premise legacy estates and hybrid networking environments
Support implementation, configuration, and adoption of Microsoft Fabric and associated Azure data services
Collaborate with the Solution Director, Lead Architects, and delivery stakeholders on the platform roadmap
Conduct technical peer reviews, champion engineering best practices, and mentor mid-level engineers
Report to the Solution Director (AI & Data) and work closely with Lead Architects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive hands-on experience engineering enterprise-scale Azure solutions
Proven experience setting up greenfield enterprise-grade Azure Landing Zones from architecture through production delivery
Strong experience integrating Azure with on-premise legacy estates and infrastructure
Experience with ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, hybrid identity, and enterprise networking
Hands-on experience integrating and supporting Microsoft Fabric and connected Azure data services
Ability to discover technical requirements and develop cloud platforms iteratively in agile environments
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Bicep
Experience with modern CI/CD deployment pipelines
Strong collaboration, documentation, and communication skills across technical teams and senior leadership
