About the role

  • Lead Engineer for a team of over 80 people
  • Spend time helping build technical capabilities and growing technologists
  • Guide and support improvement of technical skills for junior to senior developers
  • Define coding standards and ensure adherence during client assignments
  • Provide technical oversight for challenging engineering activities
  • Enable an inclusive technology culture in engagements
  • Collaborate with Consulting team to establish tech proposition and develop Thought Leadership

  • Proficiency in Dutch Speaking
  • Python for data engineering and pipeline development
  • Advanced SQL for structured data querying and transformation
  • Data modelling, ETL/ELT design, and data governance principles
  • Apache Spark
  • Databricks
  • Delta Lake / Delta Tables
  • Apache Kafka
  • AWS ecosystem for cloud-native data platforms
  • AWS DMS
  • Scalable cloud-based data pipeline architecture
  • CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments
  • Infrastructure and data workflows in cloud-native environments
  • Performance tuning and optimisation for batch and real-time workloads
  • Monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting distributed systems
  • Experience in coaching and providing career progression to senior developers and tech leads, supporting highly experienced developers create exciting and inspiring career ambitions.
  • Awareness to think about technology strategically, creating flexible and robust plans for investment and change, and communicating these effectively.
  • Experience working with managers to deliver complex and sensitive technical messages/solutions upwards and across teams
  • Experience of managing technologists across multiple teams to ensure they are working toward a holistic vision/goal
  • Consultancy experience across a number of sectors is a bonus.
