About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides oversight and leadership to the Financial Services department
  • Assists the Financial Services Manager with the scheduling, planning, and training of the team
  • Ensures all work products, solutions, and recommendations are accurate and compliant
  • Assists in the overall project management control of Financial Services’ projects
  • Prepares reports for the Financial Services Manager reflecting team activity
  • Is a subject matter expert on financial aid policy to ensure compliance
  • Responds to inquiries and requests from staff and students
  • Handles escalations and complaints from Financial Services Analysts
  • Provides individual and/or team training to minimize skill gaps
  • Identifies opportunities to involve others in new work assignments
  • Resolves individual and group performance issues in a timely manner

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience and education) in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 1-2 years of progressive financial aid experience
  • Experience with student management software (e.g., CampusVue and Broadleaf)
  • Solid working knowledge of federal/state government education regulations
  • Knowledge of Title IV Compliance
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, CampusVue, and Broadleaf
  • High level of integrity
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility
  • Ability to lead and recommend changes to mitigate exceptions
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic & flexible environment with confidence and poise
  • Ability to manage internal relationships at all organizations levels effectively
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are a MUST
  • Able to manage multiple documents and projects simultaneously
  • Attention to detail.
