Financial Services Team Lead

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides oversight and leadership to the Financial Services department
- Assists the Financial Services Manager with the scheduling, planning, and training of the team
- Ensures all work products, solutions, and recommendations are accurate and compliant
- Assists in the overall project management control of Financial Services’ projects
- Prepares reports for the Financial Services Manager reflecting team activity
- Is a subject matter expert on financial aid policy to ensure compliance
- Responds to inquiries and requests from staff and students
- Handles escalations and complaints from Financial Services Analysts
- Provides individual and/or team training to minimize skill gaps
- Identifies opportunities to involve others in new work assignments
- Resolves individual and group performance issues in a timely manner
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience and education) in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- 1-2 years of progressive financial aid experience
- Experience with student management software (e.g., CampusVue and Broadleaf)
- Solid working knowledge of federal/state government education regulations
- Knowledge of Title IV Compliance
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, CampusVue, and Broadleaf
- High level of integrity
- Strong sense of personal responsibility
- Ability to lead and recommend changes to mitigate exceptions
- Ability to operate in a dynamic & flexible environment with confidence and poise
- Ability to manage internal relationships at all organizations levels effectively
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are a MUST
- Able to manage multiple documents and projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail.
