About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide strategic legal advice for Anchorage Digital’s OTC principal trading entity.
Guide spot, margin, derivatives, and API trading activities.
Act as a trusted expert on money transmission regulations, state lending rules, CFTC derivatives rules, and SEC securities laws.
Draft and review compliance manuals, policies, procedures, disclosures, and risk factors related to trading and lending activities.
Review, draft, and negotiate trading, lending, and derivative contracts, including USDAs, Master Lending Agreements, Master Purchase and Sale Agreements, and Prime Brokerage agreements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Highly organized with a bias for action, meticulous attention to detail and ability to produce quality work in a fast paced, high volume work environment.
You have an understanding of the regulatory frameworks, existing and proposed, that pertain to various digital assets business models.
Ability to apply traditional financial legal concepts to the digital asset space to solution for institutional clients’ complex business needs.
Transactional experience in reviewing various financial transaction agreements, primarily, lending agreements, prime brokerage agreements, ISDA/CSA and trade confirmations.
Experience working in a face paced start up / early stage company - highly motivated, self starter who takes initiative, with a positive attitude and willingness to take on any task (nothing is too big or too small).
Ability to think creatively and propose commercial and pragmatic solutions.
Active membership in the state bar.
