About the role

  • Empower institutions to settle digital assets safely and at scale
  • Work with the Engineering Manager, Product Manager and the engineering team to plan, build, release and maintain high quality software for the Settlement Network business
  • Be the primary driver of the system architecture and technical direction
  • Mentor each team member’s technical skill development
  • Drive products forward by developing novel solutions for institutional clients
  • Strive to innovate in order to build the future of cryptocurrency and the digital asset ecosystem

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience building API first backend services (e.g. REST, GraphQL, gRPC)
  • Experience designing, building and deploying cloud native micro-services
  • Passionate about building automated tests alongside your features
  • Real world experience building complex distributed systems
  • Enjoy building services from scratch and supporting them over a meaningful period of time
  • Genuine interest and pride in code quality and infrastructure
  • Prioritize end-user experience and business value over “cool tech”
  • Developed “computer science fundamentals”, i.e. algorithms, data structures and operating systems (Formal CS degree NOT required)
  • Self describe as some combination of the following: creative, humble, ambitious, detail oriented, hard working, trustworthy, eager to learn, methodical, action oriented, and tenacious
