Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the growth and strategic direction of Anchor QEA’s landscape architecture practice in California
  • Serve as a senior client-facing leader for related works
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff
  • Collaborate with leadership on market strategy and business planning
  • Identify, pursue, and win competitive landscape architecture opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with public agencies and stakeholders
  • Serve as project director or project manager on complex projects
  • Provide senior design leadership and mentorship
  • Guide design strategy and oversee preparation of plans and documents
  • Facilitate and lead meetings with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Licensed Landscape Architect in California
  • 15 or more years of relevant professional experience in landscape architecture
  • Demonstrated success capturing new work and developing client relationships
  • Strong understanding of California markets and project types
  • Experience serving in senior leadership roles like project director or senior technical lead
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating closely with various specialists
  • Strong technical understanding of coastal, freshwater, estuarine, riparian, wetland, and shoreline systems
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in helping grow a landscape architecture practice
