AMA seeking a high-temperature materials Engineering Intern with micro-X-ray CT experience.
Correlate internal features such as porosity and thermal stress cracks within the ceramic matrix composite (CMC) to the material property.
Establish correlation between internal features to the material properties using micro-X-ray CT and validated with experimental data.
Must be pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Experience with ceramic matrix composites is highly desirable. Familiarity with techniques for analyzing and modeling their microstructures can significantly enhance the accuracy of machine learning models. Hands-on experience with data collection and processing specific to ceramics will be an asset in developing robust characterization methods.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to facility requirements.
