About the role
- Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise metadata model in Alation aligned with business goals.
- Develop and execute workflows integrating metadata with Unity Catalog and Alation
- Govern data access using and implement best practices for secure data sharing.
- Establish and optimize distributed workspaces in Databricks using Unity Catalog.
- Drive cross-functional alignment and stakeholder engagement for unified data architecture.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, and debug data management software, systems, and associated capabilities specifically dealing with data governance and related persona user interfaces.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 (eight) years’ professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT or relevant technical field
- Alation Certified Professional Consultant or Databricks Certified Data Engineer
- Hands-on experience with Alation and Databricks Unity Catalog
- Proven success in implementing distributed data environments
- Expertise in metadata modeling and enterprise data architecture
- Strong understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks
- Strong data governance and metadata management acumen, utilizing platforms like Alation and Collibra
- Experience implementing large-scale ETL and Lakehouse solutions in AWS
