About the role

  • Elicit, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements from stakeholders
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to define, test, and validate ETL processes
  • Support the design of data models and database structures
  • Provide specifications and assist in creating SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processes
  • Define specifications for reports and dashboards, collaborating with development teams
  • Perform data profiling and quality checks
  • Create test plans and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Facilitate meetings between technical teams and non-technical personnel

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Business, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a healthcare or defense environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
  • Experience with ETL frameworks and data warehousing concepts
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, data privacy laws (HIPAA, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; Active Secret Clearance preferred
