About the role

  • Support a defense health mission-critical program delivering healthcare analytics and decision support at Analytica
  • Work directly with clients in consulting and delivery capacity to solve complex healthcare problems
  • Conduct ETL, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and data wrangling to prepare data for modeling
  • Develop and present ML algorithms and time-series predictive analytics to improve healthcare outcomes
  • Design, develop, and deploy NLP and AI/ML models with unit testing, performance validation, and post-deployment monitoring
  • Create interactive dashboards and visualizations in Python, Power BI, and/or Tableau to support real-time analytics
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into actionable dashboards
  • Execute quality control procedures to ensure data integrity and optimized algorithm/dashboard performance
  • Produce documentation: business requirements, technical specs, user training, versioned documentation, and presentation materials to support approvals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, data analytics, statistics, computer science, health policy, or public health
  • Must be able to maintain a Secret security clearance; US Citizen required or ability to obtain Secret clearance
  • 7+ years of experience in health data and analytics
  • Proficiency in SQL; demonstrated SQL development and query optimization
  • Strong knowledge of statistical programming concepts and best practices
  • Experience with machine learning development: training/testing sets, validation, target definition, and evaluation criteria
  • Hands-on experience with algorithms: regularized regression, random forest, XGBoost, neural networks
  • Experience delivering analytic dashboard products (Tableau and/or Power BI) is required
  • Experience with ETL, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and data wrangling
  • Experience applying time-series methods for predictive analytics
  • Experience designing/deploying NLP and AI/ML models with unit testing, validation, and monitoring
  • Proven ability to investigate, report, and justify algorithm results and present insights to stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience working with military or veteran healthcare systems (DHA, VA) and understanding of healthcare data and regulatory compliance
