About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective accounts across national, regional, and specialty retailers.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new wholesale partnerships aligned with Ana Luisa's brand strategy.
- Lead the full sales cycle, including outreach, discovery, presentations, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Develop customized assortment recommendations that meet both customer needs and company objectives.
- Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the onboarding process.
- Research and evaluate new wholesale opportunities, including specialty retail, international markets, corporate gifting, travel retail, and other strategic channels.
- Develop launch plans for new distribution channels and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful market entry.
- Assess channel performance and provide recommendations for expansion, refinement, or discontinuation based on business results and strategic fit.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new wholesale partners.
- Maintain accurate customer records, opportunity tracking, and sales forecasts within the CRM system.
- Represent Ana Luisa at industry trade shows, buyer meetings, and networking events.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in wholesale sales, business development, account acquisition, or retail partnership strongly preferred
- Must be based in Midwest
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and CRM system.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed-up to 6 x a year
- Strong analytical ability and experience in analyzing sales trends and related data
- Exceptional multitasking and prioritization skills, thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
