Territory Sales Representative
AMVAC: An American Vanguard CompanyTerritory Sales Representative managing customer accounts and sales in Nebraska for agricultural products. Responsible for achieving sales objectives and developing market segments.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage territory customer accounts; establish and maintain regular contact with customers and key influencers to obtain product performance feedback and develop markets segments by brand
- Develop annual territory business objectives that support the regional and national strategies
- Provide Key account planning for target customers that can deliver sales volumes by brand and profit objectives
- Responsible for managing annual territory expense budgets that could include such items as promotional items, travel, and entertainment
- Prepare and deliver monthly reports regarding customer, product and competitive information along with verbal updates on key activities with your manager
- Create and deliver internal and external sales presentations; prepare presentation materials, including handouts and graphics
- Work closely with immediate supervisor and product management to identify suitable marketing & promotional programs obtaining buy‐in and approval on territory business plans
- Travel: Approximately 60‐70% of time on the job. Company vehicle (truck) provided.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A strong background in the Agricultural Chemical or related Agriculture Industry is required.
- 3+ years sales experience with proven history of achieving / exceeding goals.
- Determines and fulfills customer needs and expectations.
- Proven Selling Skills: Responds to consumer needs and wants through planned, personalized verbal and written communications to influence purchase decisions and ensure satisfaction.
- Strong Business Acumen: Understands and applies business knowledge to maintain and advance organizational effectiveness; comfortable with risk; accepts individual responsibility and accountability.
- Integrity: Widely trusted; seen as a direct, truthful individual who can maintain confidentiality.
- Initiative: Recognizes what needs to be done, acts and accomplishes results as the situation demands.
- Persuasion: Ability to persuade others in a positive & professional manner; builds consensus through give and take.
- Influence: Able to influence others to adopt an action by using data, facts, logic and credible personal presence for territory effectiveness.
- Computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and digital sales reporting tools.
- Must be able to pass a background check and other tests as required.
