About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Audit RCM accounts worked by staff daily to ensure accuracy according to QA policies and procedures
  • Gather documentation issues for educational feedback
  • Document and maintain QA findings
  • Complete and distribute monthly summary reports based on daily findings
  • Communicate quality deficiencies to staff using the Quality Review process
  • Provide additional details about errors to management or staff when needed
  • Identify and trend common errors and deficiencies and report them to management
  • Review processes and procedures with department management to improve efficiency and resolve accounts fully
  • Assist with the department’s QA policy training process
  • Follow information systems security policies and procedures
  • Attend information systems security training when offered
  • Report information systems security problems
  • Review trends for missing documentation, denials, and other RCM KPIs
  • Report possible payer, system, or staff issues to management
  • Respond to inquiries from other departments
  • Train new staff and provide QA feedback
  • Complete the QA summary file
  • Support and abide by company values, policies, compliance requirements, and mandatory training programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in RHIT preferred
  • Five (5)+ years of related RCM QA audit experience and/or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of an RCM billing system
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to work on multiple screens simultaneously
  • Ability to use zoom in and zoom out features
  • Ability to comply with information systems security policies and procedures
  • Ability to follow company code of conduct, ethics statements, policies, procedures, and corporate mandates
  • Ability to participate in mandatory training programs
