About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Primary resource for internal colleagues regarding operations and/or financial issues
- Review all work provided by a team of staff accountants
- Train and mentor staff accountants with regards to technical issues and accounting responsibilities
- Monthly income statement trend analysis and other preparation for review of ASC financial reports
- Provide research and assistance with ASC work papers and reconciliations
- Monitor ASC compliance with accounting controls and policies
- Provide accounting and general ledger work for specified surgery centers as needed
- Perform miscellaneous financial analysis
- Special projects and other job related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years of accounting industry experience
- Pervious supervisor and/or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to use window office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Accounting software; PC laptop
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university
- Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner
- Must be able to work well with others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information
- Must be able to exercise good judgment
- Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance
