About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide communication relating to inquiries and concerns from CBO Business Operations, Amsurg Centers, internal CBO teams.
- Define, standardize, and continuously improve liaison workflows related to issue intake, escalation, resolution, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for high‑risk, high‑impact, or unresolved stakeholder RCM concerns.
- Build and sustain executive‑level relationships with surgery center leadership, anesthesia providers, and Central Billing Office leadership.
- Partner with stakeholders to foster trust, transparency, and shared accountability for revenue cycle performance.
- Train and development Bus Ops manager and internal CBO operational leaders on systems, analytics, payers and performance.
- Maintain executive accountability for all onboarding and offboarding activity to/from the Central Billing Office.
- Ensure consistent governance, readiness assessments, success criteria, and reporting for onboarding transitions.
- Oversee 90‑day post‑onboarding performance, ensuring risks are identified early and corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitor aggregate onboarding outcomes to identify systemic gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Oversee development and interpretation of revenue cycle KPI dashboards and performance trends.
- Translate data insights into enterprise‑level recommendations and long‑term improvement strategies.
- Regularly report progress, risks, and outcomes to senior revenue cycle and executive leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and develop managers and senior team members. Set performance expectations and ensure alignment with departmental and organizational standards. Identify resource needs, succession planning, and opportunities to mature the liaison function.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Expert knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, payor rules, and reimbursement models.
- Strong leadership and management expertise with demonstrated success managing managers and complex stakeholders.
- Advanced data interpretation skills with the ability to translate insights into strategy and action.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise initiatives and drive organizational change.
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; graduate degree strongly preferred.
- 8–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle, operations, or practice management in lieu of degree, or equivalent combination of education and revenue cycle experience.
- Significant experience leading teams, managing enterprise‑level initiatives, and partnering with executive stakeholders.
