About the role
- Contributes to the in-house legal team and works on complex issues
- Serves as a subject matter expert on legal issues
- Identifies legal risks and develops proactive compliance
- Provides strategic and tactical advice on operational and transactional matters
- Conducts legal research and analysis to provide recommendations
- Drafts, reviews and negotiates agreements
- Assists in representing AMSURG and its affiliates in informal dispute resolution processes
- Demonstrates commitment to the company’s corporate compliance program
Requirements
- Licensed Attorney holding a J.D.
- 5+ years’ experience as described in a healthcare environment
- High-level analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to function independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- A commitment to personal and professional growth, and receptivity to feedback
