About the role

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for Med-Surg supplies, purchased services, and logistics categories.
  • Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including market research, competitive bidding (RFP), and contract negotiations with vendors.
  • Analyze spend data, market trends, and supplier performance to identify and pursue cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maximize savings and mitigate risk by leveraging Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts and exploring new supplier relationships.
  • Develop and present compelling business cases for sourcing initiatives to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating terms, and managing renewals.
  • Establish and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers and distributors.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contract terms, pricing agreements, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to identify opportunities for logistics optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor freight costs and delivery schedules for medical supplies to ensure timely and cost-effective transport.
  • Develop robust supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with clinical and non-clinical departments to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
  • Utilize ERP and analytical tools to generate reports and dashboards on sourcing performance, contract spend, and vendor metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, savings achievements, and market insights.

Requirements

  • Experience leading end-to-end Strategic Sourcing initiatives
  • Experience with contract negotiations
  • Experience with data gathering and analysis
  • Experience reviewing contract Terms and Conditions
  • Experience with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with demonstrated experience in a healthcare setting.
