About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver tutoring sessions using Amplify’s structured, research-based curriculum
- Initially conduct literacy-based lessons
- Prepare lessons for each tutoring session
- Work with Kindergarten–Eighth Grade students
- Implement ongoing coaching and feedback
- Participate in professional development and learning opportunities
- Help students meet their reading goals
- Maintain consistent tutoring schedules for assigned student groups
- Complete a 15-minute early login before sessions
- Commit to assigned tutoring groups for approximately 15 weeks
- Use Amplify platforms and materials
- Potentially obtain additional endorsements and participate in special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Fluent English speaker
- Comfortable and highly skilled with technology
- Available at least 90 minutes per day, 3 weekdays per week, at consistent times during school hours
- Physically residing within the 50 states of the United States
- Meet U.S. employment eligibility requirements
- Access to a personal laptop or computer with webcam and microphone
- Access to headphones
- Chromebooks, iPads/tablets, and smartphones cannot be used
- Strong internet connection
- Enjoy working with Kindergarten–Eighth Grade students
- Interest in teaching lessons using Amplify Curriculum
- Willingness to accept and implement ongoing coaching and feedback
- Willingness to participate in professional development and learning opportunities
- Ability to complete fingerprint-based state/FBI background checks before working with students
- Ability to complete paid initial training within 2 weeks of the start date
- Must be available for at least 9 hours weekly, across 3 weekdays at consistent times
- Ability to complete a one-way video interview and teaching demonstration
- Ability to travel to Amplify headquarters in New York for in-person onboarding or periodically, as required

Comp & perks- $18 per hour for delivery of tutoring sessions
