About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver literacy-based tutoring lessons to Kindergarten–Eighth Grade students using Amplify’s structured, research-based curriculum
Plan lessons and prepare for each tutoring session
Provide tutoring sessions remotely during assigned weekday school hours
Commit to the assigned tutoring group for approximately 15 weeks
Participate in initial training and ongoing professional development
Accept and implement coaching and feedback
Help students meet their reading goals
Maintain a private, quiet, distraction-free tutoring environment
Use Amplify platforms and materials to deliver lessons
Pursue additional tutoring endorsements or special projects after demonstrating success

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Fluent English speaker
Comfortable and highly skilled with technology
Available at least 90 minutes per day, 3 days per week on weekdays at consistent times during the school day
Availability between school-day hours, approximately 8am–4pm ET
Access to a personal laptop or computer with webcam and microphone
Access to headphones and a strong internet connection
Chromebooks, iPads/tablets, and smartphones cannot be used
Enjoy working with Kindergarten–Eighth Grade students
Interest in teaching lessons using Amplify Curriculum
Willingness to accept and implement ongoing coaching and feedback
Willingness to participate in professional development and learning opportunities
Must physically reside within the 50 states of the United States
Must meet U.S. employment eligibility requirements
Fingerprint-based state/FBI background checks required before working with students
Completion of paid training within 2 weeks of the start date
Ability to complete a one-way video interview and teaching demonstration
Ability to travel to Amplify’s New York headquarters for in-person onboarding or periodically during employment if required
