About the role

  • Serve as the company's leading internal expert on behavioral health integration, the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), psychometrics, and measurement-based care.
  • Act as the internal authority on psychometric literature and academic research, guiding product and commercial teams.
  • Provide deep clinical and scientific guidance to product, AI, and engineering teams to ensure the BHI platform is evidence-based, effective, and safe.
  • Support commercial efforts as key subject matter expert in high-stakes conversations with clinical leaders at prospective and current customers.
  • Develop and own clinical content strategy: author white papers, lead webinars, and create best-practice guides.
  • Continuously monitor and synthesize the latest academic research and industry trends and translate insights into actionable company strategies.
  • Establish and lead a Clinical Advisory Board, cultivating relationships with key opinion leaders to ground strategy in real-world expertise.
  • Strategic, high-visibility leadership role (non-patient-facing), stewarding clinical credibility across the company.

Requirements

  • Advanced Clinical Credentials: An advanced degree is required (PhD in Clinical Psychology, MD/DO with specialization in Psychiatry, PsyD, or similar terminal degree).
  • Deep Industry Experience: 10+ years of experience in a combination of clinical practice, behavioral health research, and/or a senior clinical strategy role within a digital health or health technology company.
  • Recognized Expertise: History of publications, conference presentations, or thought leadership in areas such as BHI, CoCM, digital mental health, or clinical informatics.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to distill and communicate complex clinical and scientific concepts with elegant simplicity to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic Acumen: Proven ability to connect deep clinical knowledge to business objectives, product roadmap decisions, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Builder's Mindset: Energized by building a clinical program from the ground up in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.
