About the role

  • The Business Solutions Analyst is responsible for evaluating current solutions, technologies, and processes to suggest improvements and enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Evaluates current solutions, technologies, and processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Researches and assesses available and emerging technologies, reporting findings to AMP leadership.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements and develop solutions to meet them.
  • Leads and/or participates in proof-of-concept testing and supports the implementation of new solutions.
  • Effectively communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advocates for best practices and the utilization of available tools.
  • Gathers and analyzes data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive business plans that align with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Assists in the pursuit of funding opportunities, including creating application project budgets, analyzing demographic data, and creating easy-to-understand visuals.
  • Performs cost-benefit analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Translates business needs into technical specifications for implementation teams.
  • Works closely with multiple departments to elicit, document, and refine clear and comprehensive business requirements.
  • Identifies key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to track and evaluate the progress of initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with relevant and timely information.
  • Conducts research and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes and systems, and recommends improvements.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to define and document business processes and requirements.
  • Provides training to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Actively participates in technical and business innovation efforts as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; or 5 years of directly related experience.
  • In-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, including their applications and potential impact on organizational efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of business process improvement methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading and participating in proof-of-concept testing and supporting the implementation of new solutions.
  • Skills in providing training, support, and technical assistance to stakeholders and end-users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively to develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and business environments, and to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other data analysis tools.
  • General knowledge of various types of enterprise systems and technologies and how they interface is a plus. Examples include: ERP, ECM, CRM, asset management and infrastructure technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have a keen sense of system integration requirements and industry trends, and assist in translating those trends and requirements into project deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a detail and process oriented, innovative, self-starting, hands-on technology professional that is able to work with minimal supervision.
