About the role
- The Amivero Team supports federal government IT modernization by delivering digital services and customer-focused technology solutions.
- Our Drupal Developer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance Drupal websites for DHS-related projects.
- Collaborate with our development team, project managers, and clients to deliver robust and scalable web solutions.
- Deep understanding of Drupal architecture, custom module development, and theming.
- Create custom modules and themes based on project requirements.
- Provide content management portal to communicate with the public using DHS Web Content Management as a Service (WCMaaS).
- Develop expertise and infrastructure services to support and modernize primary public interfaces.
- Ensure high-performance and availability of Drupal sites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Drupal site issues.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Drupal development.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including planning, design, testing, and deployment.
Requirements
- US Citizenship Required to obtain Public Trust
- Bachelor Degree + 3 years of experience
- Experience with software development, software architecture, APIs, and microservices
- Experience with building software using agile methods
- Experience with full stack development including the Drupal Content Management System and PHP
- Experience with build, deployment, and release automation and orchestration in a DevOps environment including Harness
- Experience supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure as code environments, including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD
- Experience writing and evaluating user stories, acceptance criteria, and pull-requests
- Experience working in HCD, Agile and DevSecOps environments
- Experience Lean Design, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
- A passion to contribute to the full stack – the front-end, backend and anything in-between (middleware or otherwise).
