About the role

  • Work on buy-side acquisitions for single-family residential real estate
  • Underwrite and locate investment opportunities using market comparables to determine rent, value, and bid price
  • Participate in acquisition lifecycle and due diligence, concession negotiation management
  • Manage ongoing revenue management pricing and strategy for portfolio of 45,000+ homes
  • Coordinate with construction arm to identify and repair material defects to meet lending standards
  • Construct presentations on market trends and strategies for senior management
  • Collaborate with operating partners to improve margins and returns
  • Expected to work in the Austin, TX office five days a week

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, specialty focus in Real Estate or Finance a plus
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in underwriting, brokerage, or other real estate related disciplines
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of SQL and Python a plus
  • Strong academic background with focus in finance, real estate, accounting, or math preferred
  • Top-ranked performer with a track record of success (academic, professional)
  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with internal and external professionals
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized with ability to work in high-intensity environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while delivering high quality product under tight time constraints
  • Desire to work on a highly collaborative, fast paced team
