About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Be the liaison to customers by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals
  • Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, delivering branded sales messages and executing planned programs
  • Schedule and follow-up with medical educational programs and achieve or exceed sales targets
  • Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues and maintaining product contracts
  • Craft effective marketing strategies to drive sales
  • Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and develop territory plans with District Manager
  • Build and maintain customer relationships while always focusing on how we serve patients
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn to grow as a Senior Oncology Specialist

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
  • Preferred experience in Oncology
  • Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries
  • Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology and inflammation
  • Local Market knowledge
  • A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
  • Adaptability with Core Competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships
