The Manager Global Partnership Supply, under the supervision of the Director, will play a critical role in driving Amgen’s commercial expansion and advancement of pipeline products through support of external collaborations.
As the Business Process and Performance Owner, you will report to the Director of Global Partnership Supply and work closely with team members across Partner functions, finance and accounting, and Global Supply Chain to lead process standardization, integration, and continuous improvement.
You’ll drive Global Partnership Supply’s regional business performance measurements for the commercialization of early-stage, late-stage, and marketed programs—ensuring Amgen has the right operating framework to bring collaborations to life—while delivering performance updates to leadership.
In this role, you will oversee current process execution, identify and enable opportunities for future improvements, standardize and document processes, define roles and responsibilities, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
In addition, you will manage a Partnership portfolio within the team, ensuring the successful execution of the operations aspects of our external collaborations and increasing the strategic value and health of our partnerships.
Requirements
Doctorate degree in Business, Engineering and/or Supply Chain OR Master’s degree in Business, Engineering and/or Supply Chain and 2 years of experience in supply chain roles, process improvement, and other directly related experiences OR Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering and/or Supply Chain and 4 years of experience in supply chain roles, process improvement, and other directly related experiences OR Associates degree and 8 years of directly related experience OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years of directly related experience
Understand and apply core supply chain principles and concepts to support process standardization and continuous improvement.
Engage diverse, global partners to lead cross-functional process improvements and projects—driving decisions and issue resolution by balancing multiple perspectives, often without direct authority.
Anticipate challenges and find opportunities for ongoing enhancement, delivering solutions for problems of moderate complexity while fostering hard-working teams.
Leverage strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills—including financial analysis—to handle large data sets, reconcile reports, resolve data integrity issues, and develop valuable solutions by integrating information from multiple sources.
Design, maintain, and report on key performance metrics (e.g., on-time in-full delivery, demand forecast variability) using ERP systems (SAP) and RapidResponse and dashboard tools such as Excel, Tableau, Smartsheet, or similar.
Manage day-to-day operations in a high-performance environment with minimal supervision, proactively communicating issues, risks, and action plans to management and team members.
Distill complex information into concise, logical messages—verbal and written—tailored for both prepared presentations and ad hoc discussions across all organizational levels.
