About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the strategy, governance, development, and lifecycle management of Amgen’s Global Corporate Compliance Policies
  • Ensure alignment and consistency across global and U.S. compliance policies
  • Serve as the primary bridge between policy content and enterprise compliance training
  • Drive simplification, modernization, and effective governance of policy content
  • Establish and maintain a scalable policy governance framework
  • Partner with various teams to ensure policies reflect evolving regulatory requirements
  • Leverage technology solutions to enhance policy drafting and review efficiency
  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry benchmarks
  • Support internal audits and regulatory inquiries related to policy documentation and training alignment
  • Drive adoption of advanced capabilities including AI enabled search and workflow automation
  • Track and report on policy lifecycle metrics
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on policy risk areas and content priorities
  • Mentor and guide team members supporting policy and training activities.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctorate degree & 2 years of compliance, legal, or policy experience OR Master’s degree & 4 years of compliance, legal, or policy experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 6 years of compliance, legal, or policy experience OR Associate degree & 10 years of compliance, legal, or policy experience OR High school diploma/GED & 12 years of compliance, legal, or policy experience
  • Significant experience drafting and managing corporate compliance policies within a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare compliance requirements, federal and state enforcement trends, and pharmaceutical/biotech regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience aligning policy content with training programs and learning strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex regulatory concepts into clear, practical guidance.
  • Experience operating within document management systems and governance workflows.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence across Legal, Compliance, and business leadership.
  • High attention to detail balanced with strategic thinking.
