About the role
- Serve as the Business Partner for Media, MarTech & Content Production reporting to the Senior Director for Marketing & Media Procurement
- Lead category & sourcing teams across Content Production, MarTech, & Media (~$900M)
- Define partnership strategies, oversee business planning and governance, and unlock innovation and value realization across US & Global Marketing including Global Customer Capabilities
- Foster collaboration, enable enterprise-wide initiatives, and champion change to position Global Procurement as a strategic value driver
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader within the Commercialization organization
- Forge strategic partnerships with key partners across Global and US Marketing ensuring alignment with category strategies
- Leverage market intelligence to craft business strategies aligned with category objectives
- Provide people leadership across global category & sourcing teams
- Work with the supply base to drive supplier-enabled innovation supporting business objectives
- Provide Marketing Procurement expertise to catalyze business development and operational innovation
- Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to generate, capture, and recognize value across the Marketing pipeline
- Influence budgetary decisions and profit-and-loss outcomes
- Promote adoption of Procurement-led and business-aligned critical initiatives
- Drive implementation of initiatives developed by Category Leads
Requirements
- Doctorate degree and 4 years of business partnering, marketing, and/or related experience OR Master’s degree and 8 years of business partnering, marketing, and/or related experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of business partnering, marketing, and/or related experience
- At least 4 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources
- Advanced degree or significant professional experience in Marketing, Media, or Agency Management (preferred)
- Analytical approach focused on performance metrics and value management (preferred)
- Experience in Commercialization Category Management, including MarTech, Data, Analytics, and Customer Engagement (preferred)
- Expertise in Commercialization Contracting and/or Sourcing Excellence (preferred)
- Experience leading Marketing Procurement categories & teams (preferred)
- Marketing & Media Procurement Category experience in Biotech or Pharma (preferred)
- Track record collaborating with senior-level Marketing stakeholders (preferred)
- Strong leadership and influence within matrixed teams (preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in spearheading cross-functional initiatives and strategic category trade-offs (preferred)
- Exceptional change management skills (preferred)
- Competence in translating business priorities into actionable category strategies
- Deep understanding of driving supplier-enabled innovation into commercial ecosystems
- Outstanding communication and partner engagement abilities
