About the role
- Responsible for the oversight of Amgen’s U.S. leaves of absence, disability, and wellness programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state leave regulations, manage external vendor relationships, oversee wellness programs, and provide leadership to team members.
- Act as a subject matter expert for leave of absence and disability programs.
- Partner with legal, payroll, staff relations and HR compliance.
- Evaluate program performance, lead vendor management for leave and disability partners, develop tools to simplify the leave experience.
- Manage global wellness programs, develop and distribute benefits and wellness communications, train HR staff to ensure consistent employee support.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree
- Or Master’s degree and 2 years of Human Resources/Leave of Absence/Benefits experience
- Or Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Human Resources/Leave of Absence/Benefits experience
- Or Associate’s degree and 8 years of Human Resources/Leave of Absence/Benefits experience
- Or High school diploma/GED and 10 years of Human Resources/Leave of Absence/Benefits experience
- Experience managing leave of absence, disability, and/or wellness programs in a complex HR environment.
- Demonstrated vendor management skills with a focus on accountability and performance monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws and disability regulations.
- Workday or other HRIS system experience preferred.
- Must be fluent in English.
