About the role
- Oversee the operations and management of Procurement’s Raw Materials, Devices and Distribution Strategic Sourcing team at Amgen
- Develop and execute the procurement sourcing strategies to address business needs
- Lead Global Procurement’s Strategic Sourcing team for Raw Materials, Devices and Distribution
- Drive continuous improvement through sourcing initiatives
- Be a trusted advisor to Operations
- Develop team capabilities and cultivate a culture of diversity and inclusion
- Curate supplier partnerships while deepening Sourcing team’s knowledge of external supplier capabilities
- Identify and mitigate supply risk while ensuring Sourcing deliverables adhere to regulatory requirements
- Monitor and report on Strategic Sourcing performance metrics
- Evaluate and implement through Sourcing, process improvement, environmental sustainability & supplier diversity and automation initiatives
Requirements
- Doctorate degree and 3 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations (preferably in a regulated industry) experience
- Master’s degree and 7 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations (preferably in a regulated industry) experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations (preferably in a regulated industry) experience
- Associate’s degree and 12 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations (preferably in a regulated industry) experience
- High school diploma / GED and 14 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations (preferably in a regulated industry) experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources.
