About the role
- Support clients from the first point of contact
- Provide therapy, linking families to resources, and helping bridge gaps in care
- Work with individuals on the waitlist
- Offer clinical coverage across programs
- Partner with community stakeholders to strengthen connections
- Deliver therapy and support to clients on the waitlist; in their homes, in the community, or via telehealth
- Provide crisis intervention and clinical coverage when situations require it
- Connect clients and families with vital community resources and services
- Collaborate with the Program Manager and clinical supervisors to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality care
- Strengthen relationships with referral sources, community partners, and other stakeholders
- Lead or contribute to outreach, education, and marketing efforts that promote Amethyst’s programs
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field
- At least one year of post-graduate counseling experience
- Bilingual/Spanish fluency is a PLUS
- A flexible, adaptable mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in high-pressure situations
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
- A confident communicator with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal skills that foster mutual trust, respect, and collaboration
- Self-motivation and initiative
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment
- Comfort providing services in the community (must have reliable transportation)
- Experience supporting youth and families from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
