About the role

  • Create a warm and welcoming impression for clients and provide outstanding first and last impressions.
  • Answer the phones and differentiate between routine and emergency cases.
  • Schedule appointments, greet clients, admit patients, and check out the day’s appointments.
  • Process payments and manage financial information.
  • Communicate between clients and other staff; manage client-staff communication.
  • Remain calm and collected in the face of emergency situations and provide assurance to clients.
  • Know and understand services and recommendations and clearly communicate these to clients.
  • Provide for patient and client comfort by keeping the reception area clean and presentable.
  • Report to Practice Manager and support the veterinary team.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of previous customer service experience working in veterinary medicine
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Weekend availability (one Saturday per month)
  • Monday to Friday 8 - 10 hour shift
